Summary
Exile Brewing Company is seeking a committed, full-time, Kegging and Packaging Operator. This position is a vital role in our operation and can only be successfully filled by someone who makes craft beer their lifestyle, finds meaning in crafting beer for our fans, and is willing to work 40-50 hours/week during our busy season while maintaining a positive attitude.
The Kegging and Packaging Operator plays a key role in our production process, ensuring that kegs are properly filled, sealed, and prepared for distribution. This position requires attention to detail, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced physical environment.

Founded in 2012, we are a family-owned and operated microbrewery and brewpub that produces world-class lagers and ales. We brew and package all our beer at our historic facility in Des Moines, IA. Our brands are distributed throughout Iowa and select markets in Illinois and Nebraska.
Responsibilities
Operate keg filling machines and ensure accurate filling and sealing of kegs.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all equipment and the work area in compliance with safety and health standards.
Monitor the quality of beer during the filling process, checking for consistency in volume, keg conditions, and packaging.
Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment issues as they arise.
Perform routine maintenance and ensure kegging machine is well-maintained and properly calibrated.
Work closely with the production team to ensure daily targets are met.
Ensure proper labeling and storage of filled kegs.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Assist with inventory management of kegs and packaging materials.
Assist with other packaging needs per Packaging Director.
Work 40-50 works a week depending on production needs.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a production environment, preferably in a brewery or food & beverage industry.
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
Ability to work in fast-paced, physical environment.
Forklift certified or willingness to complete certification.
Physical Requirements
While performing roles, you will be regularly required to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, and crouch
Must regularly lift more than 50 pounds and maneuver 175 pounds
Exposure to temperature changes, wet, or humid conditions, noise, vibrations, and other production-related hazards and must therefore wear the appropriate PPE
